Here’s our quick guide to help you stay on top of your game - the smart way.
- Apps, apps and more apps
Keep yourself organised the easy way
Times are changing and there are so many life hacks that can make your life easier, starting with technology, more specifically - apps. To help you organise your life, you can download calendar and personal assistant apps. They are a great way to remind you of the things you need to do when you have a million other things to remember, like, attending a school fair on Saturday morning or taking the dog to the vets! There are so many apps out there to help you depending on your needs.
Get smarter at home
You can now get even smarter with your home security with the latest home automation technology, which lets you connect and manage your home security through your phone, tablet or PC - wherever you are.
Another great one is for those who worry what their kids get up to. Find my iPhone has been around for a long time now, but it has become an increasingly great tool to locate a specific device - it’s a good way to keep track of the location of your loved ones.
Make learning fun
Personalised learning is an ongoing, new and innovative technology that is aimed at meeting the specific needs of every student. The idea is to tailor educational material to the student’s academic abilities and work to their optimal pace of learning. Having access to this digital phenomenon is excellent for parents as it allows you to monitor your child's progress and get involved in his/her learning experience whilst giving them the confidence to complete independent learning.
You can also make learning fun by going online or downloading apps relating to a specific and relevant subject. This is a really great way to change attitudes towards learning and make it a fun experience. And if you’re struggling with solving some maths homework, not to worry, we can’t all know everything, you can now download an app to help you solve these together and learn at the same time.
All your favourite recipes in one place
If you’re anything like me, then you’ll understand the struggles of planning your meals ahead. The great thing is, you can now have all your favourite recipes in one place. You can even organise them by ‘easy options’, ‘healthy options’, ‘meat free options’ - you get the idea. It’s a good way to organise your meals and save time. You can also keeping adding new and exciting recipes to it whilst on the go. There are plenty of apps out there that can help you do this - but if you prefer old school, you can always get yourself a meal planner.
- Health & Fitness
Keep fit at home or on the go
We know time is short and understand that keeping fit is probably not at the top of your priority list because of lack of time. Well, it doesn’t have to be this way anymore! You can now stay fit at home by doing quick online home exercise videos and joining other online groups who are in the same boat as you. You can now do quick bursts of exercise (and I mean quick) whilst your clothes are in the washer or your food is cooking.
You may want to try this...
MyFitnessPal is a particular favourite of mine as you can track your food consumption, exercise activities and join others online for extra hints and tips on staying fit and healthy. It really saves me time being able to do quick exercise bursts in my spare time.
